As a Hartford County, Connecticut Business attorney, I’m often asked what the difference between a partnership and an LLC is. A partnership involves potential liability of each partner for the activities of its fellow partners. Secondly, it is true that in a partnership and in a LLC they each typically have the same pass-through tax treatment. However, I advise my clients as a CT Business Lawyer that in a partnership, the documentation and government requirements are much less than in an LLC.
