New Haven Consumer Credit Lawyer Explains Skip-Tracers
Often times as a New Haven Consumer Credit Lawyer I get asked to what a Skip-Tracer is. I tell clients that a skip-tracer is essentially a 3rd party that has been hired by a debt collection agency or creditor to locate you (the debtor) and will try to find out where you live, work, and where you manage your bank accounts. As a New Haven Consumer Credit Lawyer I tell clients that they do this because they are either trying to collect the debt by corresponding with you or could be positioning themselves to sue you by serving summons on you in connection with a dispute to collect that debt.
If you ever need help dealing with debt collectors that are using skip-tracers, contact our experienced New Haven Consumer Credit Lawyer.
